sleepy tuesday

After a busy long weekend, Big Jim and I are having a lazy day today. I should probably give my eye a little rest because I have been cheating the past few days. The bubble is now approximately 90% gone, so I have vision through just about all of my eye. I tried on my glasses last week as a little test, and I am definitely going to need a new prescription for my right eye. We had a great visit with A. and M. Friday evening we had dinner at one of the village restaurants, and Saturday we took them on a drive through the nearby mountains. That night, Big Jim made a Thai feast, and we stayed in and watched movies. By Sunday, the weather had warmed enough to visit the coast. Not warm enough to sunbathe and swim in the Sea, but that didn't stop some people!

Crazy swimmers! We had only a light lunch in Nerja because we were saving our appetites for dinner at one of our favorites spots, Posada Meson Mudejar, that evening. The owner Serafin was in fine fettle, and we were some of the only customers, so we got to have a long chat with him and catch up. While we were out, the pups decided to also have a party, and when we arrived back, they were making their way through the 2 kilos of candy Big Jim (who has a major sweet tooth) had bought earlier in the day at the sweet shop in Nerja. As usual, Precious Boo put on her innocent face and Mr. Beebs was all guilt, tail down, apologetic. After teary but felicitous good-byes with A. and M. at the airport yesterday afternoon, Big Jim and I returned to the village, picked up the dogs, and had lunch in the square. The breeze was brisk, but the sun strong...a delightful way to pass a couple hours. I don't know when I have seen Big Jim happier. :-) hasta manana, mylifeinspain
