You really live in Spain?
It doesn't seem so.

why is so surprising for you?
(snow in Spain! ...)

Not far from you, In the province of Granada, in Sierra Nevada ( do I have to translate that??) there's snow 8 months out of 12.

And in the half-north of Spain where I am currently living, is pretty much the same thing.

so what is all the fuss about?

Maybe the right headline for you was "snow in my village"...

Cheers

I see your point; however, the primary readers of my blog are friends and family back in the US who are not as aware of Spain's geography and climate extremes as you and I are. Apparently neither are the UK tourists, who show up for winter holidays only packing their tank tops and shorts expecting to get a suntan. :-) Additionally, the winter here has been particularly harsh, and as I mentioned in an earlier posting incredibly devastating to our local agriculture (eg, avocados are selling for 3 euros a kilo). So I suppose that is what all the fuss is about....
